2. Installing ImageSurferThe installer will ask you'd like a typical or custom install. Most users will use the typical install. However, If you will be using a Polhemus 3Space Isotrack tracking device, then you should select the custom install and also follow the instructions on installing GiveIO after installing ImageSurfer. 2.1 Installing ImageSurfer without JRE BundleImageSurfer needs a version 1.4 Java Virtual Machine (JVM) in order to run. For the program to work, you should be able to run the java interpreter from the command line like this: c:\> java -versionjava version "1.4.1_01" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-b01) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-b01, mixed mode) Also, the JRE bin directory needs to be included in the PATH environment variable. Find RunImageSurferAlone.bat and/or RunImageSurferTracker.bat in the ImageSurfer directory and edit the PATH line to include your JRE. |
